Student Pick-up Policy
Handout:
Dear Parents,
This letter is to inform you of a change that will be happening at CCA regarding picking up your student from school. After observing the procedures for a couple of months, and with the coming of colder weather, I believe that it is in the best interest of our students to make this change. Safety is always my first priority and I believe we need to be proactive in the pick up procedure in order to avoid a major problem later.
With that in mind, we are going to be having all students inside until their ride arrives at the school. We have two lanes that will be used and ask that each person picking up students use these two lanes only. We will have the middle of the parking lot blocked off from 2:30 on. You will need to come into the CCA parking lot from the east and line up from there. Parents who have K4 and K5 children only, you may pick up your child as early as 2:50. If you have a K4/K5 child and a child in another class, please wait until 3:00. All other classes will be available for dismissal at 3:00 p.m. (The procedure will be very similar to Soul Survivor Camp)
I appreciate your cooperation in this change and know that it will take a few days to adjust to the new procedure, but if you bear with us, I truly believe it will become very smooth and will actually save time in getting your student to you in the safest possible way.
If you must come into the building during this busy time, we ask that you pick up your child and then you may park on the west side of the building. The west doors will be open and you can get to the office from there. Please leave your child in the car as this is the reason we are making the change, so children are not running around in the parking lot. If you have need of more than a few minutes or you do not wish to have your child wait in the car, please go to the west parking lot, take care of your business, then leave the lot and get back in line to pick up your child.
This new procedure will take effect right after the Thanksgiving Holiday and will continue on through the rest of the school year, with an evaluation after Christmas. Once again I thank you in advance for your cooperation.
