Administrator – Mr. Clark Ballard

cballard

My undergraduate degree is from the University of Alabama in 1985 with a B.S. in Music Education. My graduate degree is from The Citadel in 1991 with a M. Ed. In Secondary Administration. I started teaching in 1985 as a band director and taught for 7 1/2 years in the public education system and then moved to administration in Christian Schools. I love working with children and watching the Lord catch fire in their lives. It is a blessing to observe them truly understanding what it means to begin and then develop their personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. I married an incredible woman Jill Morton Ballard in September 1993. We have 2 great children, Evan (born in 1998) and Emily (born in 1999). I enjoy spending time with my family, working in the yard, and visiting other family members that are out of state.

My undergraduate degree is from Central Missouri State University in 2001 with a B.S. in Journalism.  I received a minor in Music, which was, and has always been my true love.  I enjoy teaching kids new songs, motions to songs, teaching Bible stories, verses, and God’s Word through music.  I give private piano lessons, and it is a joy to share my musical gift with others.  God blessed me with a wonderful husband, Eric, in the Spring of 2002.  We have two beautiful boys, Keaton (born in October of 2003) and Kaiden (born in October of 2007).  I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my boys play sports, scrapbooking, playing the piano, and visiting with friends.

I joined CCA in 2001, in its 2nd year, as the music teacher upon moving from the city back to Osceola.  Previously, I had been teaching K4-12th grade music and band at Grandview Christian for 16 years.  I was also the Athletic Director at Grandview for 5 years and then continued on while teaching at CCA as the AD for Grandview for an additional 5 years.  I also taught piano at GCS, but after moving to CCA I began teaching piano lessons here.  I have been teaching piano lessons since the mid-1970’s.  I started the band and bell choirs at CCA and each year the children performed a major Christmas musical and went to music competition.  Due to a bad car accident, I had to give up being the music teacher at CCA in 2010, but have maintained being the Athletic Director since 2006.  I continue to teach piano and I am a Osceola HS graduate (1969).
