I received my BS in Music Education in 1987, my MS in Education in 2001, and my EDS in Elementary Principalship in 2011 all from UCM in Warrensburg. I have served as Music Instructor K-12 in Walker, Lakeland, and Rich Hill. I have served as Band Director in those schools as well as Lone Jack, California, and Holden 6-12. I have been an Elementary Principal for 10 years in Hardin-Central and Warrensburg where I currently live. I am also an adjunct professor at UCM in the Spring semesters teaching Low Brass Methods class for music education majors. My love is working with students and parents to instill a passion of music in their lives. The joys of watching them start at ground zero to growing in their love for the instrument and performing is so rewarding to me. I am retired from public school education and look forward to having this opportunity to share God’s love of music with the students here at CCA.
I grew up in Lone Jack and went back there to teach. During that time I met a beautiful Kindergarten teacher, Terri Horine. We have been married for 22 wonderful years. She is currently an Instructional Coach at Martin Warren Elementary. We have 2 boys and a girl ranging from 12-21. I am a member of the United Methodist Church in Warrensburg where I have played in the bell choir and currently sing in the Chancel Choir. Outside of school I like to work in the yard and love going on vacations or mini adventures as we call them.

I received my undergraduate degree in Journalism from Central Missouri State University, now UCM, in 2001. I received a minor in Music, which was, and has always been my true love. I enjoy teaching kids new songs, motions to songs, teaching Bible stories, verses, and God’s Word through music. It is a joy to share my musical gift with others.
My husband, Eric and I have been married since 2002. We have two boys, Keaton & Kaiden. I enjoy spending time with family, watching my boys play sports, scrapbooking, crafting, playing the piano, and singing.
