Upper School Math and Computers – Ms. Karen Page

Call to Action

The opportunity for children to receive an education in a Christian school is a true blessing. To be a part of facilitating that education is a great privilege and an exciting part of God’s plan for the Christian educator. While teaching over the last two decades in Missouri public school learning environments, both rural and urban, I have become aware of the critical shortage of teachers and thought leaders whom are prepared and willing to address the spiritual, academic and career needs of today’s American youth.

I will be teaching computer classes in my first year at CCA, following a career path as educator in the greater Kansas City area, adjunct instructor in higher education at the University of Central Missouri, middle school educator in Clinton, Missouri, former Missouri business owner, and professional product educator.

My formal education includes a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the University of Missouri-Columbia, the M.S. in Educational Technology from the University of Central Missouri, and recently completed requirements for the Ed.S. in Human Services-Education Technology from the University of Central Missouri, to be conferred in late 2018. I also completed my teacher education program through UCM, and hold a current professional teaching certification through the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Missouri. Numerous other graduate credits were achieved as a lifelong learner through Boston University Metropolitan College, toward the MSCIS-Database Design; the remainder of which were attained through UMKC toward the M.F.A. in Theatre.

I am the mother of two sons raised and educated in Clinton, Missouri: Benjamin and Bryce, 24 and 23 years of age respectively. Both have pursued successful careers in I.T. and marketing in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. My parents, the late Frank Officer, former Navy C.P.O. Aviation Electronics instructor, and Carol Officer, Registered Nurse and current Clinton resident, were veteran educators in the Marshall Public School District-Saline County Career Center. My mother and I currently attend First Baptist Church, in Clinton, MO. I have been involved in the Christian music ministry as both a vocalist and piano accompanist in local area churches.
