K5 - Kindergarten

I am so excited to be a part of CCA! I graduated from UCM in 1999 with a major in elementary education and a minor in early childhood.  I have been teaching for 22 years with this being my 14th year at CCA.

I have always known God called me into the teaching profession. Each day brings a fresh start to help a child develop their full potential intellectually, socially, and spiritually. It is so wonderful to be able to teach Gods word into every part of the day. My favorite part of the day is listening to the children’s prayers-they pray from the heart!
I enjoy being with my family. My husband is Daniel and we have 3 daughters, 2 granddaughters, and 2 grandsons. I also enjoy gardening, mowing, tending to my chickens, cooking, reading, and traveling with our horses.

K5 - Kindergarten

It was so good to be back in the classroom team-teaching with Mrs. Lewis last year!  I love getting to be a part of watching children grow academically and spiritually.  God is at work in the hearts and minds of the children at CCA!  It is thrilling to see how much growth takes place in them each school year, and I am thankful to be a part of that process.

This will be my 7th year of teaching kindergarten at CCA.  Previously, I taught three years in the first-grade classroom at CCA and five years in public school. I received my BS in Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood from Missouri State University.  The mission of CCA has been near and dear to my heart since the beginning of the school.  My husband, Jeff, and I have watched four of our five children attend CCA where Parker is still a student here.

I enjoy my personal quiet time with God, spending time with family and friends, riding my bike, running, mountains, and sharing the gospel and making disciples in remote Alaska during summers.  With two new grand babies (almost), I’m also very excited about being a grandma!!
