God has truly blessed me by allowing me to serve in the field of education for many years. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education, and a Specialist Degree in Education from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO. I have served 11 years as an elementary teacher, 6 years as an Elementary Building Principal and 14 years as a District Superintendent in the Missouri public school systems. I joined the CCA staff in 2018 and it is exciting to serve as the Lead Administrator, Elementary Principal and teacher of 9th grade English at the Clinton Christian Academy! I enjoy working closely with the teaching staff in the areas of curriculum and instruction. I also love getting to know all of our students here at CCA! Children are truly a gift from God and it is a privilege that parents have entrusted these precious gifts to the staff here at CCA where we strive to “prepare hearts and minds to impact the world for Jesus Christ.”
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Steve. We were blessed and highly favored to be able to move here to Clinton to be near our daughter, Miranda Curnutte, and her husband, Eric. Grandsons, Isaac and Seth, bring us so much joy and attend CCA. Additionally, I enjoy singing, piano, and reading!

Upper School Principal
God has blessed our family richly in the spiritual realms and led us to the ministry of Clinton Christian Academy. My wife and I are celebrating our 33 years of marriage. We both prepared to teach at Harding University, a Christian school in Searcy, Arkansas. God has blessed us with eight children and one granddaughter (so far). We have a multitude of experiences in both Christian and secular educational settings including: Bible classes (cradle roll to a seniors’ auditorium class for those 65 and older), homeschool, private Christian school, public school, public charter school, dual credit early colleges school, and Department of Defense Dependent Schools (DODDS) overseas in England and Germany. I have taught in public schools in Arkansas and Missouri in the subjects of math, social studies, and personal finance. In the Air Force, I taught for three years at Officer Training School teaching communication skills, character education, and professional military subjects. My first master’s degree is in math education, and I am currently certified to teach math and social studies for middle school and high school in Missouri and Arkansas. I retired from the Air Force in 2015 as a Lieutenant Colonel with 26 years of service. I commanded the 10th Intelligence Squadron at Langley Air Force Base leading 450 military and civilian personnel. In 2010, I earned a Master of Military Operational Art and Science from Air University. One of my undergraduate majors was Bible/Ministry, and I am just over halfway through a Master of Divinity degree with the Harding School of Theology in Memphis, Tennessee. As a Christian, I believe God has given us the roles of ministers of reconciliation and ambassadors for Christ. I believe this is the purpose and goal of Christian education—to lead our children to God through Jesus the Christ.

My undergraduate degree is from Central Missouri State University in 2001 with a B.S. in Journalism. I received a minor in Music, which was, and has always been my true love. I enjoy teaching kids new songs, motions to songs, teaching Bible stories, verses, and God’s Word through music. I give private piano lessons, and it is a joy to share my musical gift with others.
God blessed me with a wonderful husband, Eric, in the Spring of 2002. We have two beautiful boys, Keaton (born in October of 2003) and Kaiden (born in October of 2007). I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my boys play sports, scrapbooking, playing the piano, and visiting with friends.
I joined CCA in 2001, in its 2nd year, as the music teacher upon moving from the city back to Osceola. Previously, I had been teaching K4-12th grade music and band at Grandview Christian for 16 years. I was also the Athletic Director at Grandview for 5 years and then continued on while teaching at CCA as the AD for Grandview for an additional 5 years. I also taught piano at GCS, but after moving to CCA I began teaching piano lessons here. I have been teaching piano lessons since the mid-1970’s. I started the band and bell choirs at CCA and each year the children performed a major Christmas musical and went to music competition. Due to a bad car accident, I had to give up being the music teacher at CCA in 2010, but have maintained being the Athletic Director since 2006. I continue to teach piano and I am a Osceola HS graduate (1969).
