David Kelsey
HS Physical Science
I grew up in the Urich area. After graduating from Sherwood High School, I attended William Jewell College and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. After graduation, I worked in the Kansas City area for a couple of years before returning to Henry County. In 1980 I began a 30 year career working at the Kansas City Power and Light (now Evergy) Montrose Station plant west of Clinton, serving as Plant Chemist for most of my career. I have been an active member of 1 st Baptist Church in Clinton for more than 40 years, serving in a number of teaching and music ministry positions. I currently serve in the GriefShare ministry, play the piano for the weekly Celebrate Recovery services, and serve on the board of directors for the Forged by Christ ministry. I began doing substitute teaching at Clinton Christian Academy in 2022, and look forward to teaching Physical Science daily at CCA. I hope to help educate our students in the wonders of God’s creative power and order in our universe.
