Jennifer Weiss

Music

Jennifer has a background in trombone and vocal performance and studied at Kent State University and Evangel University in Springfield, MO (Sacred Music and Bible).  She has been blessed with leading a vast array of musical and dramatic endeavors spanning decades. She and her husband, Peter, have been married for 35 years and have been involved in ministry most of that time. Peter is also an accomplished musician and teacher; guitar, bass, and cello.  

Jennifer homeschooled their six children (over 26 years) with ABeka Academy. They also have three grandsons. She and her husband are currently the Associate/Youth Pastors at Covenant Church of Holden. Her husband is also the Assistant Police Chief of Holden. They both have a passion for worship and raising up the next generation of Christ followers. 

In her spare time, Jennifer likes writing, gardening, arboriculture, weather watching, tending to her animals, catching up with friends, and spending time with her grandsons! 

In regard to education, Jennifer believes that Christians should be intentional about praying for our children and raising them with a Biblical worldview. She believes that Christians should be the most skilled and creative people on the planet because our God is the Creator of all things! Two of her favorite verses are found in Daniel 1:17a “As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom,” and Exodus 31:3, “And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship.”
